We should know that proper acclimatization is necessary to ensure our climb and summit of Mera Peak successful. Our climbing guide will make necessary checks on your climbing gears including ropes, ice axes, crampons, harness, and other equipment and give some basic training just to prepare yourselves better for Mera Peak climb. So, we should make our walk to the top of the rock band, marked by a large cairn. After crossing Mera-La Pass, we reach a huge boulder where we will set up a camp at an altitude somewhere close to 5,780 meters. From this vantage point, we can enjoy the outstanding views. Once we reach the top you will be rewarded with magnificent views of five spectacular 8000-meter peaks – Everest (8,848m) Cho-Oyu (8,201m) Makalu (8,463m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), as well as Nuptse (7,855m), and Chamlang (7,319m) After spending some quality time at the Mera Peak summit, we will descend following the same route and head back to reach Khare overnight at Camp.

Day 12: Reserved day for acclimatization or weather condition

One extra day we keep as a spare day, set aside in case we have to postpone the attempt on the peak summit because of bad weather or because some of our group members have not yet acclimatized well enough to make the ascent. If everything is gone smoothly, we will succeed to climb on the summit day. So, we can use this day for another Ice climbing day or spend one more night at the village on the way back to Lukla.
